A man who allegedly shot and killed two people inside a Camden motorcycle clubhouse in September was identified and arrested Friday, authorities said.
Loring Lindsey, 40, of Camden, was charged with two counts of murder and weapons-related offenses, according to a joint statement from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Camden County Police.
Officers responded to the Wheels of Soul clubhouse on the 800 block of Princess Avenue in the Parkside neighborhood of the city around 1:45 a.m. on Sept. 20 for a report of a shooting inside the business, police said.
When they arrived, they found Jermaine Wilkes, 38, and Jamill Jenkins, 32, both of Philadelphia, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the office said. Wilkes was pronounced dead at the scene and Jenkins died at an area hospital later the same day, authorities said.
After investigating witnesses who were inside the club on the day of the killings, detectives ultimately identified Lindsey as the shooter and located him Friday inside a home on the 1900 block of Pierce St. in Camden, police said.
Lindsey was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division and was taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility where he awaited a detention hearing, authorities said.
